You are looking at a beautiful BOLD sterling silver necklace featuring 18 mm x 25mm  TEARDROP SHAPED quality lapis lazuli gems and smooth amber nuggets (color enhanced) flanked with  sterling  silver accents. This lapis lazuli necklace and bracelet set features beautiful flecks of golden pyrite

Closes with a handmade Sclasp.

Currently the necklace measures approx 24.5 inches (62 cm), including the sterling silver chain and can be worn at a short lentgth.

It has been tumbled  and it is  very versatile, a “wear with anything” necklace! I love it’s boldness and it is definitely not for the shy!

These gorgeous earrings are made of 925 sterling silver leverback hooks (stamped) and natural, untreated SLEEPING BEAUTY TURQUISE round beads (approx 5.5 mm) intermingled with 6 mm brushed sterling silver wavy disks. Beautiful deep, rich color!

You are looking at a one of a kind bracelet featuring beautiful, AAA labradorite fancy nuggets interspersed with Bali style, oxidized sterling silver beads . The bracelet closes with a toggle clasp and next to it I added dangling charms for the balance.

Pictures don’t do justice to this bracelet, as it is very difficult to capture the changing blue flashes with the camera.

The bracelet measures approx 7 inches (18,5 cm) - fits wrists from 6 3/4 to 7 1/4 - and I will resize by request by adding more sterling rings. Please email me with the desired length.

I am going to give this blog a much needed spruce up…There have also been plenty of new links added to the site, on the right hand side. For more pictures and a detailed description of each item, you can click on an a link to be taken to it’s page.

My blog features an eclectic mix of ever-changing jewelry pieces with quality and originality guaranteed. There is something for everyone’s tastes and budgets!

I spent the day cleaning and now I’am loving my space…that’s enough… right? lol. I was going to start a new sterling silver jewelry project, but it’s late and i’d rather blog a little and think this project through…I’m already looking at this smokey and lemon quartz briolettes and thinking of the fall colors, although I want something more springy…or just something new…right? I used to work for weeks on the same project…when i was done… i didn’t want any more big projects…just little things… i didn’t realize this was going to be so time consuming… and slightly difficult, but now it takes less than a day to complete one. I’m very excited with the clean cut and the AAA clarity of these smokey quartz briolettes I got from Thailand! It’s going to be fun working with them, and i have a good feeling! (i can’t show photos because i don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I will make a sterling silver necklace/earrings and maybe I will add some Austrian Swarovski crystal drops in a matching color…)

I haven’t really been wire wrapping much in the past days, due to the fact that my family has been visiting me and thoroughly enjoying the sun and the promise of summer upon us .We had lots of fun activities! Today, though I managed to finish the yellow jade necklace and the matching jade earrings (done with the “herringbone” technique I mentioned in the last blog post),  so if you’d like to take a look here are a few things that I’ve uploaded today:

Do you know how much I love jade? Perhaps you would have guessed by now…:) But I do. It’s just, well, beautiful… I really like the design and I promise I’ll get some more handmade wire jewelry done. But for now, it’s all I have and at a very affordable price!

I should never have accumulated a stash. Now it takes forever weighing options about what to do with this or that. There are no right answers, maybe not even any best answers. Pick a gemstone, pick the sterling silver wire and start playing around with them! So off I go, with these yellow jade (serpentine) 12 mm beads that I am going to wrap with 26 ga dead soft silver wire using a simple weave “-or “lashing”,  used in the French beaded flower techniques and basketry. The result is a “diamond” shape and this technique is largely used as I can see after browsing the online handcrafted jewelry stores, so what will make my necklace so special, afterwards?! Well, I have to think of the finished piece, to come up with a final pattern that is fun to make,  a pattern which doesn’t have a bazillion little details that can be a thrill or a pain and won’t make my necklace resemble to an ordinary piece…and YES, I got THE idea!!! So, I will be busy during the weekend. WORK. WORK. WORK.
