This delicate sterling silver necklace is approx 16.5 inches (approx 42 cm) long and features 3 natural, untreated SLEEPING BEAUTY TURQUOISE nuggets from the mine of Globe, in Arizona. The nuggets are flanked by Bali style sterling silver beads and spacers. The necklace continues with a delicate, sterling silver chain with fancy links that has 4 round natural, untreated SLEEPING BEAUTY TURQUOISE round beads, also from the mine of Globe, in Arizona. These round beads are flanked each by 2 brushed sterling silver wavy disks.

This beautiful, one of a kind necklace closes with a Bali style sterling silver toggle and I would be happy to resize it for you at no extra charges.

The turquoise round beads measure approx 5.5 mm and the nuggets approx 15 x 7mm.

I should never have accumulated a stash. Now it takes forever weighing options about what to do with this or that. There are no right answers, maybe not even any best answers. Pick a gemstone, pick the sterling silver wire and start playing around with them! So off I go, with these yellow jade (serpentine) 12 mm beads that I am going to wrap with 26 ga dead soft silver wire using a simple weave “-or “lashing”,  used in the French beaded flower techniques and basketry. The result is a “diamond” shape and this technique is largely used as I can see after browsing the online handcrafted jewelry stores, so what will make my necklace so special, afterwards?! Well, I have to think of the finished piece, to come up with a final pattern that is fun to make,  a pattern which doesn’t have a bazillion little details that can be a thrill or a pain and won’t make my necklace resemble to an ordinary piece…and YES, I got THE idea!!! So, I will be busy during the weekend. WORK. WORK. WORK.

Hello! This time a little bit about me: My name is Nadine and I live in South Holland. I love anything and everything that involves lampwork beads, swarovski crystals, sterling silver, semiprecious gemstones and, of course, chainmaille (or chainmail/ chain maille/ chain mail)! My desire to make accessories started small and grew into something I love doing every single day, whenever I get the time. I would spend hours playing with sterling silver wire and putting  different shapes of gemstones together. This grew into designing necklaces, bracelets, pendants and earrings. My addiction grows every day, by investing in more and more materials. Thankfully, God has given me the support of my loving family, who continue to give me their opinion, whether good or bad. I would also like to thank you to all those who taught me various techniques and shared their knowledge online. Because of the knowledge and the encouragement I have been receiving, now I decided to sell my handcrafted jewelry. On this blog you can see the current work in progress and photos of my home studio.
